Common questions
How do I get the app?
Barbell Battles is currently in iOS testing. A public App Store download link will be added here when the first release is available.
How do I verify my email?
After signing up, open the verification email on your iPhone and follow the link. If it is missing, check your spam folder, confirm the address you entered, and use the resend option in the app.
I forgot my password. What should I do?
Choose Forgot password on the sign-in screen, enter your account email, and open the recovery link on your iPhone. Follow the reset flow, then sign in with your new password.
How do I create or join a group?
Open Groups. Select Create group to receive a join code, or select Join group and enter the code shared by a friend.
How are leaderboard scores calculated?
An exercise leaderboard uses each member’s highest recorded weight for that exercise. All lifts adds one personal record per exercise. All my groups combines members from your groups without counting a person twice.
How do I edit or remove a lift?
Open Lifts, choose an exercise, and select an entry from its history. You can update the entry or delete it from the edit screen.
How do I delete my account?
Open your profile using the initials button, select Delete account, enter your password, and complete the confirmation. Your account, profile, lifts, and memberships are removed from the active database. Groups you own transfer to the earliest remaining member, or are deleted if no other member remains. See the privacy policy for retention details.
Why do rankings sometimes take a moment to update?
The app caches rankings to make navigation faster. Your own lift changes invalidate related cached results. Changes from other people may appear on a later refresh. Check your connection if a result seems outdated.
